The Tunnel Teens are a group of unnamed high schoolers that hang out in the tunnel by the Trolleyside News. They are all Minor Characters in accordance to the story.
Appearance[]
(From order in game files) The first tunnel teen is a male orange cat, with dark green eyes, a labret piercing, and gauges on both ears. They wear a black shirt with a blue druid/death character in the middle along with camo pants and black shoes.
Tunnel teen number two is a female brown mouse with blue eyes, a blue nose, and a silver piercing on their left ear, She wears black boots, red pants, and a dark blue long sleeved shirt with dark green circle in the middle. In the Night in the Woods Demo, she is implied to be Lori Meyers' older sister. If this is still the case, she is the only tunnel teen with an official last name.
The third tunnel teen is a light grey/white male Virginia opossum with red eyes, who wears a white shirt with a light blue tree design in the center, an unbottoned green plaid button-up, and blue ripped jeans. Their boots are brown, and they appear to be wearing a black and light beige trucker hat with a black design in front.
The fourth tunnel teen is a dark-green female bird similar to the species Germ is. She has light brown eyes, wears a dark blue hoodie, light blue jeans, brown shoes, and a red and orange striped hat.
Personality[]
All four Tunnel Teens act as the typical teenager archetype; Aloof and uninterested in the adults they interact with. Especially towards Mae, whom they clearly don't respect, and merely tolerate early-game.
Post-Harfest, the Tunnel Teens are among the few characters Mae talks to, about the kidnapping situation, mostly out of a worry for their safety. In turn, they heed her warnings, and start respecting her more as the game goes on.
Night in the Woods[]
In-game, the Tunnel Teens are a group four teens usually found within the Trolley Tunnel every other day. They can usually be talked to once a day, and the conversation is typically short. Mae tries relating to them throughout the game, though this is typically followed by a short and dismissive response.
Post-Harfest, Mae warns the Tunnel Teens about the kidnapping, and to always stick together, to stay in a buddy system. The Virginia Opossum Teen (Teen 3) tells Mae about a friend from Mulvey who recently went missing; describing her as not being online since Harfest. This may be the teen who was kidnapped by Eide, although Mae is a bit skeptical.

- All Teens except for the bird are taller than Mae
- In the game files, they are given the names "teen 1-4".
- Teen 1(Orange Cat)'s dad is a trucker.
- There is cut content in the demo that implies that Teen 2 (Brown Mouse) is Lori Meyer's older sister, whether this is still true or not is unknown.
